Working closely with Valve for the third consecutive year, I pitched the idea of doing something a bit different - using AR to elevate the stadium experience, bringing the crowd with us into the world of Dota 2, in the form of a massive themed cathedral that encapsulated the venue during the opening ceremony, and remained a permanent fixture throughout all the days of the broadcast.

Although my main responsibility was directing the Myreze team and working closely with Valve on a daily basis, I had a lot of passion for the game itself, and was extremely hands on with both some of the more complex asset authoring, as well as porting over and touching up new hero lineups to allow them to render as AR characters on stage, remaining faithful to their ingame appearance.

I was also onsite for the entire production, again acting as both artist, operator, and virtual production expert.
